Moringa – A Solution to Iron Deficiency

Iron deficiency or anemia is very common among people, in particular women. The reasons behind it can be manifold. In most cases the main reason for Iron deficiency is a poor diet.

Most iron-rich nutritional sources are animalistic, such as meat and liver. Usually the content and bioavailability of iron from plant sources is lower. For this reason Vegans and Vegetarians are at particular risk of anemia.

Studies have shown that Moringa leaf powder has an exceptionally high iron content. 100g (3.5oz) of beef liver contains about 10 mg iron, pork liver about 10-20 mg. Moringa leaf powder contains an astonishing 28 mg of iron per 100g! This high iron content is even higher than the iron content of any animalistic source. This is very unusual for plants.

The quality of our Moringa products is regularly monitored in accredited laboratories. It is known that the bioavailability of iron is increased in the presence of Vitamin C, Vitamin A and carotenoids, as well as reducing (antioxidizing) agents. Moringa leaves contain all of these compounds in high quantities.

Several pregnant women suffering from Anemia were given Moringa and very quickly recovered from their symptoms.
